Formscan By Alan Magee - A 30lb rise in the ratings for three narrow handicap wins may seem excessive but BUACHAILLBOCHT has a canny knack for not winning too far and certainly idled in front before winning with a bit in hand at Punchestown last month. Mark Walsh should be able to produce him a bit later here and the main threat could be posed by another JP McManus-owned gelding in Joyeux Vivo. He showed promise in maidens and kept on well over two miles when runner-up to the progressive Morricone on handicap debut at Punchestown. Lucky Lyreen won’t lack for stamina having beaten Kinturk Kalanisi (won since) in a three-mile maiden at Punchestown last time while Silver King and Pax are others to consider.
