Connections have declared that the Saddler Maker gelding has had wind surgery since his last run, and he is also equipped with a first-time tongue-strap. Down the weights and NO COMMENT each-way mightn’t be a bad way to approach a tricky heat. Following on from efforts in the Martin Pipe (2017), four-miler (2018) and Kim Muir (2019), No Comment is back for a fourth visit to the festival. Champion Richard Johnson, chasing the title again, was recently asked whether he'd forgo Cheltenham if there were winners to be ridden elsewhere. He said the championship means most to him, and it'll be interesting to track his movements over the four days. Johnson should be there or thereabouts earlier in the Arkle on Brewin'upastorm, and No Comment has the ability to give him a good spin too. The Kayf Tara gelding has had his jumping issues and he ended up on the floor in the Paddy Power at Leopardstown last time. We haven’t seen him since and you'd imagine plenty of work has gone into his fencing. With ten stone four on his back the nine-year-old can at least make his presence felt.
