Formscan By Alan Magee - THE HOLY ONE landed his only point-to-point start at Broughshane earlier this year, and came up against a very decent rival when runner-up to Rapid Escape at Punchestown last month. The Court Cave gelding travelled like a useful sort and the merit of the form was emphasised when the winner completed a hat-trick in bumpers in a Listed race at Navan. The Shunter didn’t look the easiest of rides when five lengths back in third in that Punchestown event and should be better suited to going left-handed. Gallant John Joe ran a cracker on debut in the Goffs Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival, and the form of that valuable sales race has been working out really well since. Boot Camp, about five lengths behind in sixth on that occasion, was only headed close home by Gran Geste (won since over hurdles) when reappearing at Thurles. Blackbow and Ballyneety are two newcomers to note from powerful yards.
