Formscan By Alan Magee - QUICK GRABIM won a bumper here at the Christmas Festival 12 months ago when in the care of Robbie McNamara, and made a bright start over hurdles at Fairyhouse last month for the champion trainer. The Oscar gelding didn’t enjoy the clearest of passages at a vital stage early in the straight but came home strongly and is sure to benefit from the experience. Paloma Blue looks a serious threat in what looks another very deep maiden. The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding wasn’t far off the best in bumpers last term when second to Fayonagh in the Grade 1 at Punchestown, and has been placed on both hurdle outings this season. Canardier won a bumper on debut at the Punchestown Festival and was a creditable third to Jetz when reappearing over hurdles at Fairyhouse last month. The lightly-raced First Figaro added to a bumper win at the Galway Festival in 2015 when successful at Killarney this summer, and now makes a belated start over hurdles. Impact Factor, second to the highly regarded Getabird at Punchestown, and Tara Dylan should both be winning soon.
