Formscan By John O'Riordan - A winner at this track on the Flat last October, FIREBRAND can make the breakthrough over flights. Although yet to replicate the form of his second placed effort on hurdling debut at Cork back in March, the John Nallen-trained five-year-old stands out in this company. While a mark of 108 is probably just about good enough to win a country maiden, the son of Siyouni is almost certainly capable of surpassing that rating in time. Point-to-point runner-up Laurie Blue has yet to reach the frame under Rules but this looks a weak affair. Given her experience, the Court Cave mare has to be respected. Flat winners Roman Harry and River Derwent also enter calculations.
