The Raceday Stewards received a request from Mr. P.A. Fahy, trainer of Prince Palace, to substitute S. Ewing for H.A. Sexton who is currently stood down. Mr. P.A. Fahy stated that he was unable to find a suitable replacement claiming rider that could do the low weight. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards allowed the replacement on this occasion and took no further action
A.P. Kelly, rider of Zenta (FR), trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got a bump at the first fence and never travelled afterwards. The Raecday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied no further action was warranted
S.W. Flanagan, rider of Black Bamboo, trained by John Joseph Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped deliberately
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning in involving Western Diego, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, and Lisnagar Fortune, ridden by D.E. Mullins, where it appeared they came very close together as Lisnangar Fortune passed Western Diego. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five years old and upwards that have not won a steeplechase before 5th May 2024, other than one hunters steeplechase within the previous two National Hunt seasons and that have run at least three times in steeplechases up to and including 20th April 2025 Penalties - Winner of a steeplechase or steeplechases after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
