S. Cleary-Farrell, rider of Quarry Tiepy, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was reluctant to jump off
The Raceday Stewards interviewed L.A. McKenna, rider of Krishna Bellevue (FR), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. L.A. McKenna stated that his mount had ran poorly on previous occasions and that he had lost momentum at the final hurdle. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L.A. McKenna was in breach of R10.3(b)(out of contention) and having considered his clean record in this regard, they suspended him for two racedays.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won. Riders - Confined to Professional & Claiming Professional Riders who have not ridden more than 15 winners under any N.H. Rules in the 2024/2025 season.
