The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that Adam Grant, rider of Plastic Paddy (GB), weighed in at 1.5 lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that this was the case and apologised for his actions stating that he drank water after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Adam Grant was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion
Sam Coen, rider of Nika Pika, trained by Noel C. Kelly, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount moved poorly in the final furlong.
