At the request of the Raceday Stewards, S.T. McCullagh, rider of Frosted Sky (GB), trained by Daniel McLoughlin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced early and kept on in the closing stages
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.A.Stack, trainer of Grande Cuvee, in relation to his charge who was a non runner due to the going when there had been no change of going since declaration time. Evidence was heard from the trainer who stated that his charge would have needed a little bit of rain owing to its confirmation but it failed to materialize and with this in mind he withdrew his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards accepted the trainers explanation on this occasion and did not impose a fine
