The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gordon Elliott, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Voice Of Reason, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainers representative reported that it was a poor quality race and the horse got its own way in running. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Mass Path, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a superficial cut on its left fore knee but was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for further analysis.
