The winner, Classy Clarets (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Leicester on 10 May 2025, where the gelding finished fourteenth of fourteen runners, beaten 24½ lengths.
The representative of Alice Haynes explained that Classy Clarets (IRE) had worn a brush pricker when making its debut for the yard on that occasion before being inclined to hang quite markedly, so it was decided to resort to a rubber pricker and it had the desired effect with the gelding racing much more tractably this evening.
