The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Good Bye Milan, trained by C.Byrnes, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race and to have numerous superficial wounds to both hind legs. Samples were taken for further analysis
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Eoin G. Kelly, rider of Vale Of Glory, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Eoin G. Kelly was in breach of Regulation 10.3.I, time to respond. Having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended Eoin G. Kelly for two racedays
