Leaving the stalls, Dingle (IRE), placed second, jumped left-handed and in doing so took Angel Hunter (GB), unplaced, off its intended line and in turn made contact with and unbalanced Echalar (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dingle (IRE).
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Bravo Zulu (IRE), unplaced, ran too free and Harry Davies reported that Echalar (IRE), unplaced, also ran too free.
