Daniel Muscutt, the rider of Token Gesture (IRE) had fallen just after leaving the stalls.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and that the incident was accidental and caused by Token Gesture (IRE) stumbling and ducking slightly left-handed when jumping from the stalls resulting in Muscutt being unseated.
Following the race Rossa Ryan reported that Super Hit (FR), unplaced, ran too free.
