Formscan By Dan McEvoy - This race boils down to Martin Brassil and his perceived first string. IT’S NEVER SIMPLE takes slight preference here as he is open to huge improvement from his last gasp win at Roscommon. Owned by JP McManus, this gelding went up 5lbs for his latest short head victory, but Ricky Doyle retains the ride and the step up in trip by four furlongs should play to his strengths. Stablemate Il Silenzio was also a winner on that same card but around this sharp track he may not be able to perfectly re-enact the waiting tactics which paid dividends last time. He was given 7lbs for that easy win%3B however, Ricky Doyle deserts him for the selection. Course and distance specialist, Stormy Master bids to regain his title in this race, but he is 11lbs higher this time and it is hard to see the 11-year-old improving much. Both Je Suis and Le Grand Vert should be watched in the market, with the former sporting a first-time tongue tie.
