Formscan By John O'Riordan - BAY OF SUPREMACY can step up from a highly encouraging reappearance at Naas last month. Prominent throughout, the Johnny Murtagh-trained three-year-old only gave best in the closing stages. With the winner of that race going on to frank the form subsequently, there is much to like about the chances of the Supremacy gelding in this race. Lightly raced Dark Angel offspring Amiata has to be respected on just his second start in handicap company. Sure to come on from a recent outing at Cork, the Ger Lyons-trained representative looks one of the more likely winners. Topweight Nezeeh needs to return to form but cannot be discounted under his very capable apprentice jockey.

That’s lovely, to come to the Curragh and win one of these races. We’d be content to compete alone. He’s a fine wee horse and that’s his third win for me. He has strengthened up a bit and hopefully he’s not finished yet. His form is rock solid and we’re lucky to have him, let’s see how far he can go. We won’t be as hard on him as we were last year. He picked up an injury last year and was off for a while before coming back and winning at Dundalk. That’s Rory’s third winner for me. she's a good, genuine filly who is too hard on herself on occasions and can work herself up, but is very honest. She's not great to break and the last day up the Curragh there was about 23 runners and she broke last but was only beaten two lengths. She didn't break too badly today and I'd say small fields probably suit her as well. She picked the right day to win as it was a good pot (€14,400 first prize) and we’ll definitely keep her going over the summer. She has won well there, so I'd imagine she will get a nice few pounds for that, so she might be a bit hard to place.
