Formscan By John O'Riordan - Third at Navan on his reappearance, HAPPY HENRY can reverse that form with Alnofoor. A strong traveller who moved through that race stylishly, the Willie McCreery-trained gelding just weakened late on up the stiff hill. Back on a flatter track here, the five-year-old has every chance of overturning his conqueror on these revised terms. The aforementioned Alnofoor has to again hold every chance despite the definite negative of a wide draw. If Jack Kearney can switch the gelding inside early on, he should be weaving his way through runners at the finish. The veteran Art Of Unity cannot be ruled out with any great confidence on a track where he has excelled in the not too distant past.

We were hopeful with the track and the step back to five (furlongs). It's hard to place a horse like him, there is not many races. It was a bit of a quick turnaround from last week but we've done it before and he's old now so he knows the gameplan. We'll do the same again, go back to Epsom and then go to the Curragh. He ran in England five times last year and is not a great traveller. It took it out of him and he possibly won't go to the UK as much. It is too much of an ask. He takes his racing well, I think there is a race for him in the meantime in the Curragh. If it is not five, I don't think there is much point. None of his wins are past the five. To be honest he's not the quickest horse, he would be always on his head. It looked like he had a bit much to do but he got there in the end. We're very happy with him. He's been gelded over the winter and Shane felt that he really wants to do it now. He took a while to get his head in front last season but he's gotten an awful lot stronger over the winter. He was really brave there, he had a bit of experience around here as he was second to today's runner-up here last season. We'll step him up gradually and he's a nice horse for his connections to have fun with.
