Permission was given for Come On John (IRE) to go to post early; for Lawmans Blis (IRE) and Mrs Meader (GB) to wear a red hood to post with the latter being mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference three furlongs out involving Lawmans Blis (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Miss Hannah Dring, Solar Bentley (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr Matt Brown and Eva Rosie (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mr Louis Burke.
Miss Dring was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as she shifted her mount left-handed when insufficiently clear, giving a bump to Solar Bentley (IRE), which in turn carried Mr Burke off his intended line.
The performance of Persian Phoenix (IRE) which started as second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Archie Watson could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
Persian Phoenix (IRE) was routine tested.

THE JENNINGSBET IN SHIREMOOR NOVICE STAKES (CLASS 5) (DIV I) (GBB RACE) Approaching the final half furlong, a weakening MARQUIS POMPEO, unplaced, edged slightly right- handed at the same time as SATYRESS, unplaced, edged left-handed causing TIGER TOWER (IRE), to be momentarily short of room and take a check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Oliver Stammers reported that TIGER TOWER (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
