Approaching the final half furlong, Jakajaro (IRE), placed fifth, edged slightly right-handed as Woolhampton (IRE), unplaced, was going for a legitimate gap on the outside rail, but was denied a clear run due to Jakajaro (IRE) edging further right-handed, which caused Searle to have to take a check for several strides but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and that it had not improved the placing of Jakajaro (IRE).
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Dutch Kingdom (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed; Oliver Searle reported that Woolhampton (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference half a furlong out, with the mare becoming unbalanced as a result and he therefore felt it prudent to ease the mare as something may have been amiss; Silvestre De Sousa reported that Sanat (IRE), unplaced, hung badly left-handed, rendering him unable to ride out the gelding as he would have wished.
