There’s not much of her and she’s a delicate filly. . In fairness to William Keeling, he’s been very patient with her. If anyone else had her, they’d be telling you to move her on. She’s always been running well without getting close to winning, finishing fifth or sixth. That’s why we felt she’d win somewhere for us, it was just a matter of when. M C Grassick, trainer
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sweet Baby Zou (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final furlong, involving Onyeisi (GB), ridden by B.M
Coen and Coul Dore, ridden by L.F. Roche, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. B.M. Coen stated that he went for the gap but that his horse was raw and not quick enough to take the gap, he further added this did not effect his finishing position. L.F. Roche stated that his mount was running around, was lonely in front and that he pulled his stick through to attempt to straighten him
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from W.R. Crawford, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Coul Dore, placed second, as compared with its recent form. W.R. Crawford stated that the first time application of a hood and a positive ride, may have brought about the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
