Mr Frederick Tett, the rider of Mudlahhim (IRE), drawn 7, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day, on dates to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Senseofentitlement (IRE), drawn 3, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started, resulting in the gelding being slowly away.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
An enquiry was held to consider two instances of interference shortly after turning into the home straight, involving, King Of The Dance (IRE), placed third, ridden by Miss Jessica Llewellyn, Faster Bee (GB), unplaced, ridden by Miss Remie Morgan, Wyvern (GB), placed second, ridden by Mr Simon Walker, the winner, Royal Observatory (GB), ridden by Miss Lauren Frost and Masterofgreygoose (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mr Lewis Kent.
Being a 7lb claiming amateur riders, Mr Kent, Miss Frost, Miss Morgan and Miss Llewellyn were offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
In the first incident, entering the home straight, the interference was found to be accidental, as Wyvern (GB) hung right- handed despite the rider’s best efforts, moving Masterofgreygoose (IRE) onto Royal Observatory (GB), who’s quarters were turned as a result.
In the second incident, approaching the one- furlong marker, Miss Llewellyn was suspended for 2 days for careless riding, on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, as she allowed King Of The Dance (IRE) to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, carrying Faster Bee (GB) onto Wyvern (GB), which in turn, left Masterofgreygoose (IRE) to be short of room.
