She’s a really honest filly and I think the only two hurdles she jumped were the last two when the pressure was on her. Maybe she was a bit flat after her run eight days — that was our worry today. We wouldn’t have run her again so quick only she was well treated by the conditions and was getting plenty of weight (carrying 10st2lb). Probably further might suit her as well. The Raceday Stewards enquired into two incidents connected in the home straight, the first involving Jokers 'N' Clowns, ridden by A. Balfe, unplaced, and Drusilla (GB), ridden by T. Power Roche, placed first, where it appeared Drusilla got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T. Power Roche stated that he momentarily got tight for room and that he let a shout. A. Balfe stated that his mount was hanging in despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action in relation to this incident. Regarding the second part of the incident which involved Hills Of Glory ridden by K.M. Donoghue, unplaced, Miss Mini Bee, ridden by S.D. Torrens, placed sixth, and Jokers 'N' Clowns, ridden by A. Balfe, unplaced, where it appeared Jokers 'N' Clowns went left. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.M. Donoghue stated that he kept a straight line and he received contact from his inside. S.D. Torrens stated that the horse on his inside drifted out to its left and he received a slight bump. A. Balfe stated that his mount ducked away as he pulled his whip through and he gave Miss Mini Bee a slight bump but he corrected him immediately. Balfe was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Stay Gold, trained by C.A.Murphy, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed twice while being examined but was otherwise post race normal.
