The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Neon Diamond, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr D L Queally rider of Long Gone, concerning his riding on the riders first approach to the starter. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who stated that his charge is a very difficult ride, a front runner and that he was mindful that there was a horse being led in and did his best to control his mount. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr D L Queally was in breach of rule 208 (iii) (b) in that he had put his mount into a trot or canter with a view to taking an advantage before the race was started. Having taken his clean record in this regard into account, the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr D L Queally for one raceday
A representative of M.F.Morris, trainer of Miss Corby, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries (via the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer) that his charge was showing signs of being in season post race
