The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend leaving the back straight involving Prophetess Miriam, ridden by F. Brickley, and Some Pretender (GB), ridden by Anna McGuinness where it appeared Some Pretender ran short of room causing Anna McGuinness to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Anna McGuinness stated that it got tight for room on the bend causing her to check. F. Brickley stated that he thought that he was clear of the horse inside him at that point on the bend. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found F. Brickley, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden Carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays
F. Brickley, rider of Prophetess Miriam, trained by Cian Collins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was running too free going to the first bend and clipped a heel. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satified that no further action was warranted
R.A. Doyle, rider of Hello Below, trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount suffered interference after the first hurdle and also turning into the home straight. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted
K.C. Sexton, rider of Working Away, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount lost its action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Working Away, trained by Gordon Elliott, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
