The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident shortly after leaving the stalls involving My Girl Jersie, ridden by R. Whearty, and Possum, ridden by S Foley, where My Girl Jersie caught a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R Whearty, stated that his mount was keen and ran onto a heel. S Foley stated that his mount was running green and moved slightly, but felt he had not caused the incident. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action

Browne McMonagle, Swing Street (GB), ridden by W.J. Lee, and My Girl Jersie, ridden by R. Whearty, where it appeared My Girl Jersie got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R Whearty stated that his mount got lit up as he was trying to get cover. D. Brown McMonagle stated that he was clear at the time of the incident. W. J. Lee stated that he moved forward and was clear of all the horses on his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by My Girl Jersie running free and they took no further action
S Foley, rider of Possum, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran green

Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 3lb allowance (95 winners).
