We’re delighted. We came here for the rain and it came at the right time,. He deserved to win this. He got injured in the Britannia, which he ran so well in, and things haven’t gone right for him. He’s a smart horse and I’m delighted for my team and obviously for Mrs Rupert. Possibly the Hunt Cup next. It’s a nice pot, a great day and a long time since I had a winner here. I haven’t had many runners here. We won a few classics here but it’s seems like a while ago. He had come down a pound or two but he’s only run twice since the Britannia. We had to put him away for the whole year. The key to nice horses are owners being patient and she was patient. We gave him all the time in the world and here we go.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident inside the final two furlongs involving Coeur D'or, ridden by C.D
Hayes, Presence, ridden by K.G. Kennedy and No More Porter, ridden by D.P. McDonogh where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. K.G. Kennedy stated that he felt pressure from both sides. D.P. McDonogh stated that he felt he kept a straight line and did not cause interference
C.D. Hayes stated that he felt there was sufficient room to manouvere out into a gap. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found C.D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. The Raceday Stewards also reminded K.G. Kennedy to be more accurate with his evidence in future enquiries
R.P. Cleary, rider of Enchanted Garden, trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right from the furlong pole.
An extended handicap for four years old and upwards that have run at least three times under any Rules of Racing up to and including 12th May, 2025, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st April, 2024 (105 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
