Quotes on The Irish Avatar (IRE)
He is a fine, big, tall horse, quite narrow, light-framed. A big, long stride and I said if I was pulling out of him, I was going too slow. That worked fine. It's only in the last two weeks, since we have really done a few sharp bits of work with him, that he has come. He wasn't showing an awful lot early in the season. He is improving with every week now. We hope so (plenty of improvement in him), but I'm really looking forward to him over jumps. I think that is really where he is going to be at his best because he has a big, high cruising speed and that is his strength, I think. After The Irish Avatar (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Sat, 17th Jan 2026 2m Bumper Soft to Heavy

Quotes on The Mourne Rambler (IRE)
We have him about two months. Philip owned a half share in him with Paddy Turley all along and they kept talking about how good he was,. They ran him and he was second and Philip bought the half share off him and sent him down. I didn’t do too much with him as he was pretty fit, I was trying to keep him fresh as much as anything. I’d say he’ll come on a good bit from the run. He seems to stay quite well. I would have thought that they’d be pretty keen to bring him to Cheltenham and maybe back here for the Dublin racing festival. We might even leave it like that and go to Cheltenham with him how he is. He’ll have a couple of more runs this season and then go jumping. We’ll see how he comes out of this and we certainly won’t rush him back anyway. There was a lot of chat about Willie’s and other horses. When a bumper breaks up like that you never really know if it’s a good race or not. We think he’s not a bad horse anyway so we’re happy enough. After The Mourne Rambler (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Fri, 26th Dec 2025 2m Bumper Yielding

Quotes on The Wager (IRE)
I think I’m blowing harder than he is. I didn’t want to hit the front too soon, because when he ran for Pat, he hit the front and idled. You saw when he hit the front today he pricked his ears, I think there is plenty there and he’ll improve with racing. He’s still very babyish. It was a great run in Punchestown but, with the benefit of knowing what he did that day, I didn’t want to get to the front too soon on him, not that I could have got to the front much sooner anyway. I think he won more comfortably than it perhaps looked. Harold Kirk bought the dam because she was a sister to Pont Alexander. Luke and Philip Reynolds kept her and bred from her. It’s great to get a winner in these colours, some of my favourite winners were in these. Luke is in sunnier climes, but hopefully he’s watching on.After The Wager (IRE) finished 1st at Fairyhouse on Wed, 14th Jan 2026 2m Bumper Yielding

Quotes on Moonverrin (IRE)
My nephew rang him (Maguire) this morning because he rides her the whole time. We said ‘if you get done for being late we won’t mind’ because once she hits the front she actually stops. What could he do. He said she didn’t travel down the back but the way she battled back! I’m speechless, it’s the first time ever!. This is for all the lads at home. It’s not just me, it’s all the boys at home. We don’t ever ring a jockey beforehand, but my nephew Michael rides her the whole time and he knows her so we just said we’d let him know that if he gets done on the line for being late we wouldn’t lose a night’s sleep over it. His hand was drawn; he was just cruising. It looked down the back like she was struggling but she just devoured the ground. She came home like a train but in saying that she had to battle at the same time. I still think we don’t know how good she is. The way we train them at home, up the hill, we don’t ever drill them. She’s working with Battle Of Ridgeway, who runs tomorrow, and he’s a good yardstick. I’d give him a serious shout tomorrow. It’s our first graded winner and it’s special, especially at the Dublin Racing Festival. She’s going to be entered in everything but whether we go to Cheltenham or wait for the mares’ races, we’ll see. The young lad warned me ‘don’t mention Cheltenham!’ so we’ll probably waiAfter Moonverrin (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sun, 1st Feb 2026 2m Bumper Heavy
