The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Vanderbilt House, ridden by C. Geerdharry, placed second, and El Fontenaro, ridden by R.P. Whelan, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R.P. Whelan stated that he received a bump towards the finish. C. Geerdharry stated that his mount was hanging despite his best efforts
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
