The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Peter Lawlor, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Summer Snow, placed first, as compared with its most recent run at Leopardstown on the 12th of June. Peter Lawlor reported that his charge was unsuited by the soft ground last time out and that todays better ground may have helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given
R.P. Whelan, rider of Bucaneer's Spirit, trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped left out of the stalls and stopped a furlong and a half down
M.W Hassett, rider of Free Solo, trained by P.J.F. Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount received interference as the stalls opened.
