He did well because we lost our spot early, I think he was a bit sluggish away from the gate and we ended up out of position a bit. The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the bend passed the stands involving Stellar Quality, ridden by S. Foley, and Voice Of Reason, ridden by J. Pietropaolo. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned

S Foley stated that he received pressure from his outside and had to take a check. J Pietropaolo stated that he felt he was clear of Stellar Quality when he moved in but accepted on further viewing that was not clear at the time

Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J Pietropaolo was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence),the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays.
