It’s great to see him bounce back there. He’s been a good servant. He won a big handicap in Haydock last year and the year before he won a premier handicap in Cork. Soft ground is the key to him. The Raceday Stewards granted a request from Gerard O'Leary, trainer of Sea Eagle (GB), for an additional ten minutes to present his charge for identification by an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90
Subsequently the Raceday Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Sea Eagle (GB), trained by Gerard O'Leary, for failing to present the horse for identification to an IHRB Official in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i)
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rowdy Yeats, trained by Noel Meade, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
R.P. Whelan, rider of Merisi Diamond, trained by Ms. Joanna Morgan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount didn't feel right a furlong out. Subsequently the IHRB Veterinery Officer examined Merisi Diamond and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rhythm King, trained by Mark Fahey, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Earls, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr Justin McGovern the Authorised Representative for trainer Gavin Cromwell stated that softer ground may have brought about the apparent improvement in form today
Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the report given.
