An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the 2 furlong marker involving the winner, Great Chieftain (IRE), ridden by William Buick and Empirestateofmind (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart.
Buick was cautioned for careless riding as he switched his mount slightly right-handed without being clear of Empirestateofmind, moving Hart off his intended line.
Inside the 2 furlong marker, Theoryofeverything (GB), placed fourth, edged slightly right-handed causing Dashing Darcey (GB), placed second, to be moved into the path of Kindest Nation (IRE), unplaced, briefly impeding that filly, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Theoryofeverything (GB).
Approximately ½ a furlong out, the winner, Great Chieftain (IRE) lugged slightly right-handed briefly inconveniencing Theoryofeverything (GB), placed fourth, which resulted in Daniel Tudhope dropping his whip, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Great Chieftain (IRE).
