An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out involving Magnum Opus (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Harry Davies; Toimy Son (FR), unplaced, ridden by Warren Fentiman; Lattam (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ryan Sexton; Orne (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Luke Catton; Dual Identity (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Brandon Wilkie; Whip Cracker (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Finley Marsh and Two Tempting (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rob Hornby.
Davies was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had angled left-handed when insufficiently clear, hampering Toimy Son (FR) which was carried off its intended line, causing Catton to take a check when short of room which in turn resulted in Lattam (IRE) being hampered.
The interference caused by Wilkie was found to be accidental as Dual Identity (IRE) had hung right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts to correct the gelding, resulting in Marsh being badly crowded for room and making contact with the quarters of Two Tempting (IRE) before Marsh had to take a check which again hampered Lattam (IRE).
Inside the final furlong, Two Tempting (IRE), unplaced, hung quickly left-handed, hampering Whip Cracker (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Dashing Darcey (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run.
