The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the last involving Down Around, ridden by T
Power Roche, placed fifth, and Serienmond (GER), ridden by K.M. Donoghue, placed first, where it appeared Down Around forced Serienmond into the infield. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T. Power Roche stated that his mount rolled around in the blinkers and over reacted when he corrected him. K. M. Donoghue stated that the gap opened and he was in it when he received contact from his outer. He added that as soon as he shouted Mr. Power Roche straightened his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Down Around, ridden by T. Power Roche, placed fifth, and Gamigin, ridden by J.S. McGarvey, placed fourth, where it appeared Down Around momentarily ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. T. Power Roche stated that his race was run and he suffered no interference. J. S. McGarvey stated that his mount fell in to the rail as he passed the horse on his inner but he was aware he was there and felt he was clear at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
