The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the approach to the third last hurdle involving Justicialism, ridden by Mr D. McGill, Annie's Belle, ridden by J. Smith, and Tuff Days, ridden by M.P. O'Connor, where it appeared Tuff Days ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr D. McGill stated that he felt pressure from his outside and held his line. J. Smith stated that he felt pressure from his inside and held his line. M. P. O'Connor stated that he received pressure from both sides and lost all momentum going to the hurdle
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards took no further action other than to remind J. Smith to be more mindful of the riders on his inside in future.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
