We couldn't dismiss Galway and have been working towards both this race and the Ahonoora on Sunday. He did well today and Seamie is a great asset for a small yard like ours. Having a jockey of his calibre is a massive help. The horse usually jumps out smart, Seamie wasn't going to give away his position and the horse enjoyed himself. He loves the downhill run into the dip and he battled well towards the line. We'll see how he is at home but hopefully he'll also run in the Ahonoora. Natalia Lupini, trainer
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident coming out of the dip involving Coeur D'or, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced, Slieve Binnian, ridden by L.T. McAteer, unplaced, and Chazzesmee, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, unplaced, where it appeared there was contact between the three. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards that have run three or more times under any Rules of Racing up to and including 21st July, 2025, at least one of those runs having been on or after 1st June, 2024 and are rated 80 or more (105 = 10st) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
