Permission was given for Hickory (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post, wearing a red hood; for Teroomm (IRE) to go early to post, wearing a red hood; and for Hawksbill (GB), Supido (FR) and Tarkhan (GER) to all wear a red hood to post.
Hawksbill (GB), trained by Hugo Palmer was late in the Parade Ring, due to the rider attending the presentation having won the previous race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs from the line, involving Sisyphean (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ryan Moore; Bopedro (FR), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Tudhope; Supido (FR), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane; and Cogitate (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Mickael Barzalona.
Barzalona was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed under a left-handed drive, without sufficient correction, carrying Supido (FR) off its intended line and causing Tudhope to take a check, thereafter Teroomm (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Silvestre de Sousa stepped quickly left-handed, taking Sisyphean (IRE) off its intended line, and further hampering Tudhope.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Bopedro (FR), unplaced, suffered interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs from the line; Billy Loughnane reported that Supido (FR), unplaced, hung right-handed; and Warren Fentiman reported that Mythical Guest (IRE), unplaced, was briefly denied a clear run approaching the final furlong.
