THE WHISPERING ANGEL NURSERY HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 2) Permission was given for Wise And Wonderful (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The Starter reported that Leave The Bag In (IRE) was reluctant to load.
Adrian Keatley was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Leaving the starting stalls, The Bookkeeper (IRE), placed third, jumped sharply left-handed taking The Ginger Kid (IRE), placed second, Shadow King (IRE), unplaced, and Primal (GB), placed fourth, off their intended racing lines, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of The Bookkeeper (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out, involving Primal (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Marco Ghiani and Wise And Wonderful (GB), unplaced, ridden by Saffie Osborne.
Ghiani was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he switched his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear of Wise And Wonderful (GB), causing Osborne to have to take a check.
On the run to the line, The Bookkeeper (IRE), placed third, lugged left-handed before being corrected taking Cilician (IRE), unplaced, slightly off its intended line, and in turn, Wise And Wonderful (GB), unplaced, became short for room and had to steady, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of THEBOOKKEEPER (IRE).
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that Cilician (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; David Egan reported that Caeruleus (IRE), placed fifth, ran green; Oisin Murphy reported that Mia Fantasia (IRE), placed sixth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong and Saffie Osborne reported that Wise And Wonderful (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run on two occasions.
