Adam broke his hip off him here the last day he rode him, before the race. He’s a little excitable and he has a lot of growing up to do. He’s a fine big horse and he’ll do more than that. The Raceday Stewards interviewed L. A. McKenna, rider of Gilded Moon, in relation to his riding on the first approach to the starter resulting in a false start. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he wanted cover but his mount went forward when she was crowded and he did all he could to prevent it. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that L. A. McKenna was in breach of Rule 208 (v)(b) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended L. A
McKenna for one raceday
The Raceday Stewards interviewed C. Clarke, rider of Queen Of Seduction, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. Clarke was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g (excessive frequency) and having considered his record in this regard (first offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended C. Clarke for two racedays.
