The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Irish Impulse, trained by Robert Tyner, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Jonny Mansie, trained by Declan Queally, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have lost the left fore shoe and was otherwise post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis
The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.L. Queally, Authorised Representative for Declan Queally, trainer of Jonny Mansie and J.P. Kirwan rider, where it appeared that Johnny Mansie turned back when mounted and exiting the parade ring. Evidence was heard from D.L. Queally and from the rider concerned. D.L. Queally stated that he instructed the rider to be handy down at the start, but had not instructed him to turn back when mounted and exit the parade ring. J.P. Kirwan stated that he wanted to get down to the start to get a good position and had instructed the person leading up to turn back and exit the parade ring. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.P. Kirwan was in breach of Regulation 16 and having considered his clean record in this regard, they fined him €100 on this occasion.
