The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bringsty (GB), trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have a few skin scrapes but to be otherwise post race normal
The Raceday Stewards informed E. McNamara, trainer of Huscari, that a repeat performance from his charge, who refused to line up and was withdrawn by order, may render the animal liable to a suspension in the future
The Raceday Stewards interviewed John Patrick Ryan, trainer of Finnicky Filly, concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to line up and was withdrawn by order. Evidence was heard from John Patrick Ryan who stated that the only other time his charge has behaved like this was also at Kilbeggan and he did not intend running her at the track again. He added that his charge had become very hot and worked up on the way up to the saddling boxes and the heat today and the tongue strap may also have been contributing factors. Having considered the evidence The Raceday Stewards noted the explanation given and took no further action.
