The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately three furlongs from home involving Bob The Builder, ridden by Mr H.D. Dunne, and Buttermere Ridge, ridden by P.T. Enright, where it appeared Buttermere Ridge ran short of room momentarily. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. P.T. Enright stated that it got tight for half a stride but his mount was weakening at the time. Mr H.D. Dunne stated that his mount was intimidated by the horse on his outside and he came in slightly. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
