Quotes on Rahmi (IRE)
It’s great, Champions Weekend is a big weekend. Rory is one of my apprentices and he’s been working hard. Thanks to Richard (McNally, owner) and his team this horse came back in good form. He got a bit of a hold-up at the start of the year. I was very happy with his last run, and the plan was always to come here. Seven furlongs suits him well. When the rain came, I thought it would help him. I hope there’s not a golden highway down that outside because I have a few fancied runners later in the day. I said to him to take his medicine (from stall 16), cruise around behind them and get a bit of cover as best you can and then in the straight peel him to the outside. I had four horses and I was shouting for each one of them at different stages. After Rahmi (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sat, 13th Sep 2025 7f Flat Hcap Good to Yielding

Quotes on Dunum (IRE)
I felt I had got a willing partner. He quickened up the hill and, he dug deep when a challenge came. We couldn't dismiss Galway and have been working towards both this race and the Ahonoora on Sunday. He did well today and Seamie is a great asset for a small yard like ours. Having a jockey of his calibre is a massive help. The horse usually jumps out smart, Seamie wasn't going to give away his position and the horse enjoyed himself. He loves the downhill run into the dip and he battled well towards the line. We'll see how he is at home but hopefully he'll also run in the Ahonoora. After Dunum (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Tue, 29th Jul 2025 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Fort Vega (FR)
I was a little bit worried, being a Lope De Vega, whether the ground would be a tad fast for him. We decided to let him take his chance because it was such a good race for him. I'll talk to John (Lavery, brother), I know where he'd like to go. They love having runners at Ascot and I'd say the Jersey could be an option. John is in Portugal, so I'll talk to him and we'll make a plan. He's in the Guineas next week but you are jumping from a handicap to a Group 1. I think the weather is to be very warm as well, if it came up dead soft I might chance it. He's a gorgeous horse, you can put him anywhere and do anything with him as he's just so easy. After Fort Vega (FR) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 21st May 2023 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Key Witness (IRE)
the story is now well known about me buying this horse at the sales, as while there were about 500 horses there, this fella walked by and I said to my wife Catherine that ‘that is a racehorse’. He was also by Acclamation so I bought him. I might look for a race at Royal Ascot now and I think he is a seven-furlongs horse so will look at the Buckingham Palace Stakes. I thought the mile was too long for him the last day, so at Ascot it would definitely be too long. It would appear he needs easy ground at the moment so fast ground at Ascot would be a concern but we’ll see, and if anyone wants a runner at Royal Ascot, they can find my number. If you wouldn’t buy this horse, what would they buy! After Key Witness (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Sun, 3rd May 2026 7f Flat Hcap Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Sir Les Patterson (GB)
Lot of nice horses in there. We bought him in July, we took our time, and he ran a lovely race in the Bold Lad Sprint (third). We thought he would be a lovely fresh horse for the system. We paid a lot of money for him, we defied a lot of Middle Eastern money in the ring for him. Since the moment he came in, he showed us strong work and I'm hoping that this horse will hopefully develop into a little bit more than a premier handicapper next year. Time will tell. He has done that very nicely. All his wins have come on the all-weather, but he does have a split mark so hopefully next summer we will put a ring around something like the Scurry Handicap or the Bold Lad. We'll probably be heading for Newcastle now on Good Friday. I think we need one more run and we'll plot something there in February time with a view to getting him there fresh. He won't be seen much over the winter here. He's a top of the ground horse. We ran him on soft ground in the Joe McGrath (Curragh) and it was a big mistake. He's a horse that does bend his knee a little bit, but he definitely appreciates top of the ground. Hopefully, he is a nice horse to look forward to. Nice bunch of lads involved in him. After Sir Les Patterson (GB) finished 1st at Dundalk on Wed, 26th Nov 2025 6f Flat Hcap Standard

Quotes on Headmaster (GB)
I’d love to take any credit, but I can’t. This is Sarah’s (Lynam, daughter) horse really, she bought him, and I’m only in charge of who mucks him out!. Sarah does all the work with him. She made a very good decision because a couple of weeks ago he worked poorly, he was going for this race, and she said ‘we’re not going to work him again’. With all my years of experience, I said ‘that’s a clueless thing to do', but anyway we’d run with it, so she knows what she’s doing. Fair play to her. A small trainer in England (William Haggas) had him! I like the pedigree, the mam won the (Prix de la) Foret three times. I’ll have to do what I’m told with him, but the programme writes itself. After Headmaster (GB) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 23rd May 2026 6f Flat Hcap Good

We ran her in the Guineas Trial first time out this season and she ran a solid enough race and took a blow. She then ran flat and it turned out she was in season. We were hopeful she was in good shape coming into this, although we were quite concerned when the rain came. She settled well and picked up well. Quotes on Aviatrice (IRE)
She's a very good filly and she's getting better. She travels well and it is the end of the season too. I think there is a lot more to come. Her fractions here last month were very hot. She's a brilliant filly and improving, she's tough. She loves that surface and will make a better four-year-old. She's in the December Mares Sale, so she is going to go there. It is the terms of the syndicate again, a bit like East Hampton last week. I would love if somebody bought her and kept her with us - that would be the dream. he travelled lovely all the way and held on at the line. Paddy, who also won on him last summer, said the other horse (Venetian) was coming but was always doing enough. He has options over six or seven furlongs now and we hope he could be a lovely 'Saturday horse’ for the bigger meetings, like Guineas weekend. Maybe he will creep up the handicap and we could be looking at those nice races. He is a lovely horse, we've always thought an awful lot of him and he was shrewdly bought by Patrick (Cooper) from the John Dance-dispersal sale last February. He slipped back down and we were very disappointed with him. He does want juice in the ground. The ground is kind, I wouldn't say it’s slow or anything but it is beautiful. He's a good horse, we were beating Big Gossey off levels 18 months ago here in group races and he's definitely come back. He was in really good form. We went back to five last time and we probably shouldn't have. It think six or seven is his real trip now. He'll probably pitch up in Galway now in the Ahonoora, that's where he’s going to go next. I’m delighted for the lads, Jimmy (Fairhurst) is a big patron and big supporter of mine, and for Cyril (McMullan). The other two horses (Goal Exceeded and Apache Outlaw, finished 7th and 8th) ran very well for me as well so I’m delighted. We were mad keen to get him back (at the sales). I just felt if we could get him back at all there always going to be a day like this in him, whether or not he could get back to group company. I'd have to win two Listed races to get the same prize money. With a gelding like that I'd rather go for good premier handicaps. I'm delighted for the horse and all the boys involved. After Go Athletico (FR) finished 1st at Curragh on Sat, 19th Jul 2025 6f Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Chicago Pope (IRE)
We were a little bit disappointed with him the last time in the Goffs Million. There were 30 runners and he was in (the stalls) a long time and missed the kick. You could put a line through the first half of the race, but he finished well. I thought dropping him back to six here, because he ran well here before, and put the cheekpieces on him. Ben said he pinged the gates and travelled really well. He got a bit lonely in front but he always felt like he was holding them going to the line. He’ll be a nice sprinter next year. After Chicago Pope (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 12th Oct 2025 5f Flat Maiden Yielding

Quotes on Dark Viper (GB)
He had a great run last time in Punchestown and he’s a great horse,. He’s won two this year and he’s been placed, he rarely runs a bad race which is fantastic. He’s very consistent. He’s creeping up now and we might just give him one more run on the last day of the year. He actually goes on any ground and has run well on the all-weather as well. He’s very versatile. After Dark Viper (GB) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sun, 19th Oct 2025 1m Flat Hcap Heavy

Quotes on L L Koulsty (IRE)
He had a grand run here the last day and we were happy when 'heavy' came into today's going description (after the fourth race). He stays a mile but I think he is better over seven (furlongs) and he relaxed fine with the cheekpieces off. We initially had thought of him as a Madrid Handicap-type horse, but in February we brought him to Newcastle for the all-weather over a mile, which didn't work, but thankfully he is running a lot better back on turf. We will come back here during Royal Ascot as there is a nice handicap for him, when he'll be in off a light weight in a better race. After L L Koulsty (IRE) finished 1st at Cork on Tue, 19th May 2026 7f Flat Hcap Soft
