S. Foley, rider of Glamazon, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to sit for a stride coming down the hill
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident between the two furlong and one furlong pole involving Idiocracy, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle, placed sixth, Glamazon, ridden by S. Foley, placed fourth, and Beware Of The Bear, ridden by N.M. Crosse, unplaced, where it appeared the three horses came close together
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that he suffered minor interference and had to sit and wait for a gap. N.M. Crosse stated that his mount ducked left after he struck him but he corrected him immediately. D. Browne McMonagle stated that it got a small bit tight due to the layout of the track. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Smart Sioux trained by Ms Claire O'Connell was found to be slightly lame on its right hind post race.
An extended handicap for two years old only (80 = 9st 12lbs) Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
