The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined God The Highness, trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
S. Foley, rider of God The Highness, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran very keen
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately one furlong from home involving Wertpol, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed second, and Trubshaw (GB), ridden by A.S. Grant, placed sixth, where it appeared Trubshaw stumbled and hit the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. A.S. Grant stated that Wertpol came in on top of him but was clear of him at the time. He further added that his mount jinked away from Wertpol and caught the rail. B.M. Coen stated that he felt he was clear of Trubshaw at the time. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted. A.S. Grant was accompanied by Mr. Alan Cody at this enquiry.
