Quotes on Norwalk Havoc (GB)
That was great. It’s the first time all year he’s got his ground. Seamie said he just keeps on finding in that and the further he goes the better he goes. You’d imagine on that he’d go a mile-and-one or a mile-and-two easily. Just today I didn’t put him in the mile-and-two because it was going to be heavy ground and a mile will probably be good. I thought they might get to him but there was no way. Seamie said there was no way they were ever going to get near him, he just kept picking up. I think there might be a race in Rome for him. He wants soft ground and he just loves it.After Norwalk Havoc (GB) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Sun, 19th Oct 2025 1m Flat Heavy

Quotes on Jagged Edge (IRE)
We were ready to rock and roll for the Irish Lincoln but unfortunately he scoped poorly the week of the race, so we just had to sit and wait,. It's obviously been a very difficult winter to get these horses right for the spring but every trainer is in the same boat. I just had to take my time with this horse. . He had been showing all the right signals at home and, we felt he was just ready to start. We had to back off him and, we had to load him with antibiotics there for a month so, he was just ready to start. Hopefully now the horse has a bright summer in front of him. . We'll have to see what the handicapper does to him but we might make a Royal Hunt Cup entry tomorrow. Hopefully he'll develop into a stakes horse later in the season. After Jagged Edge (IRE) finished 1st at Naas on Sun, 17th May 2026 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Ribee (IRE)
I won this race previously with On The Go Again (in the 2018 renewal, at Naas) and we knew this fella would take a lot of beating. In those conditions, he’s a hard horse to beat and this has been the plan since last backend - the Lincoln was the goal. He was travelling all the way and I was just a little worried that he had hit the front a bit early, but we knew he’d get the trip well. He’s a grand big horse and that’s what you want for those conditions. I’m delighted for the owner/breeders (Lee Regan Partnership) and this is the first horse they bred, so they had to keep him, and he’s been lucky. We booked Declan McDonogh, as Gary Carroll couldn’t do the weight and I feel sorry for Wesley (Joyce) who is stable jockey but the owner wanted a senior lad. We’ll probably have to go again shortly with Ribee, while he has his ground. After Ribee (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 15th Mar 2026 1m Flat Hcap Heavy

Quotes on Dunum (IRE)
I felt I had got a willing partner. He quickened up the hill and, he dug deep when a challenge came. We couldn't dismiss Galway and have been working towards both this race and the Ahonoora on Sunday. He did well today and Seamie is a great asset for a small yard like ours. Having a jockey of his calibre is a massive help. The horse usually jumps out smart, Seamie wasn't going to give away his position and the horse enjoyed himself. He loves the downhill run into the dip and he battled well towards the line. We'll see how he is at home but hopefully he'll also run in the Ahonoora. After Dunum (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Tue, 29th Jul 2025 1m Flat Hcap Good

It was a nice performance as he was carrying plenty of weight. He enjoyed the ground and Shane said he won despite not handling the track. We thought an awful lot of him as a two-year-old, but he took a while to do things right although is doing things right now. Quotes on Lord Massusus (IRE)
he got a little bogged down in the ground at the Curragh the first day where seven furlongs probably didn’t suit him either. We expected a better run that day but were very disappointed coming home. We put the hood on and he settled better today: he has been over-racing through his races a little bit. we’ll keep him to Listed and Group 3s here and maybe come back here on Champions Weekend for the Boomerang Stakes. He’ll be a solid horse in all those Listed and Group races here and at the Curragh for the season. We tried him in a Group 1 last year and he’s just not quite that level but he’s very solid at this level and he’s able to carry the penalties. People say he’s effective on soft ground but that was in a nursery and in a conditions race as a two-year-old, but this - and quicker, is his preferred surface. After Lord Massusus (IRE) finished 1st at Leopardstown on Wed, 9th Apr 2025 1m Flat Good

Quotes on Far From Dandy (IRE)
We are getting great support (from the Shamrock Thoroughbreds syndicate) up here on Wednesdays and Fridays. They are definitely enjoying it. It is a fabulous racecourse and it is great to give lads something to look forward to during the winter time. It is a fabulous outlet week in, week out. He was very impressive the last night in a slowly-run mile and did well to quicken up in the '80' grade. Obviously, it was a step up in the '90' grade tonight, but they went a nice gallop. Leigh Roche's horse (Rockbury Lad) gave us something to aim at up the straight. It was a really true-run mile and I think that is what he needs. He could even get a little bit further in time, but we are going to stick to a mile. He's definitely reliant on pace because he is a hold-up horse. He's a three-year-old horse and we will find something there in the new year. It will be kind of a Newcastle plan with him, maybe, as well. He's a horse that has a lot of talent, but is still growing up mentally. He's still a little bit babyish, and hopefully that will give him confidence. He's a fine horse. After Far From Dandy (IRE) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 19th Dec 2025 1m Flat Standard

Quotes on Loughrea (IRE)
He is nice. Sam said he was in front too soon. He said he was pulling up and when the other horse came to him he kind of went on again,. I was putting it that he ran to a rating of 91 in Gowran. It was going to take a fair maiden to beat him today. He probably wants a mile-and-a-quarter as well. . John Houlihan owns him. He is a son-in-law of Pat Tallis who used to train. This horse is from the same family as that good horse they used to have, Acushladear. If anyone comes with money, he'll take it. It's hard for a four-year-old to win giving that much weight away. After Loughrea (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Fri, 26th Jun 2026 1m Flat Maiden Good

Barry Potts was with me when we bought him. We liked him, he was very lightly raced and had a nice profile. We thought there was a good bit of improvement in him. He cost 48,000 and he was well bought as usually those horses are making treble that. They are not easy bought. He looked a nice model, and we’ve been lucky out of Mr Weld’s before. It was nice to get another one. He’s a big horse and he needed a bit of time. We love Ballybrit so I’d say that will be our next port of call. Quotes on Booyea (IRE)
The easiest part was looking at him out there. He's a real handful as you can see with him coming in there now. We had some job tacking him up. I wasn't on the ball today, I should have had earplugs or something on him. He got really upset before the race and I honestly thought that was it, race over. Fair play to him he's a good horse., he's tough. He's very revved, that's the way he is. He actually hasn't been that revved in a long time, last year he was very difficult but he settled down a lot and we thought we were past all that. He got very revved up today but I suppose it is Derby Day. Like I say I just wasn't thinking ahead. It fantastic, we had a winner at this meeting on the Saturday last year. To have a winner at the Curragh is fantastic anyway and on Derby Day is even extra. After Booyea (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Sun, 30th Jun 2024 1m Flat Hcap Good

Quotes on Genuine Article (GB)
It has been a long time coming for this horse after we bought him, as we thought he'd have won before now and we thought he'd win here last year. He was a bit disappointing overall but the key to him is a cut in the ground. He was proven on this track, which was a big help and Seamie spoke to Colin (Keane, jockey son who is currently suspended) who said to ride him forwards. Colin picked out this horse to buy so he'll be delighted. He had a grand run in Naas the last day and it left him spot on and everything worked out today. After Genuine Article (GB) finished 1st at Galway on Thu, 31st Jul 2025 1m Flat Hcap Good to Yielding

Quotes on Electric Beauty (IRE)
We tried her over further at Tramore the last day but it didn't work, so we brought her back in trip. She is a big filly, we're only learning about her and I thought she might stay further as when she was with Ken Condon, he ran her over further. I think her ideal trip is around nine furlongs. She isn't slow and had won over seven furlongs at Leopardstown but, at the end of the day, she is only learning about it and hopefully it is onwards and upwards with her. She has a good pedigree and is quirky in her own way, so we are only learning with her. After Electric Beauty (IRE) finished 1st at Galway on Tue, 9th Sep 2025 1m Flat Hcap Soft

Quotes on Merlin The Wizard (GB)
I told Dylan to pop out and be handy, and to settle him where he was comfortable, and he gave him a brilliant ride. I was happy watching it, because I knew it was going to be hard for the fancied ones to come from the back. The last day when he won (at Limerick) it turned into a three-furlong sprint and he was tapped for toe a bit, so I wanted him to be handy and that's usually the way to ride them around here. His owners are from Galway and that's the plan for him now. It will be more competitive there, but this was a nice race to win anyway. We just have 10 stables in the yard, and that's as many as I want. Luckily we've managed to find one or two decent horses most years and if they're good enough, I feel I'm good enough to train them. After Merlin The Wizard (GB) finished 1st at Ballinrobe on Mon, 22nd Jun 2026 1m 1f Flat Hcap Yielding

Quotes on Galileo Noir (IRE)
Galileo Noir is a good horse and it’s easier when they are good! At Naas the last day, he arrived into contention going really easy, but blew up and just got tired. I was a bit worried that the trip (1m1f) might be too far, but they went steady. He has loads of boot and Colin said we could bring him back to a mile, but I’d say a mile-and-a-quarter will suit him well. He has quite a nice pedigree, and he’s a good-looking horse who probably likes that ground as well. It’s great to win and we’ll just take one day at a time with him. We’ll enjoy that and see where we go from there. After Galileo Noir (IRE) finished 1st at Curragh on Fri, 3rd Apr 2026 1m 1f Flat Maiden Soft to Heavy

Quotes on Monvoe (IRE)
He has really turned the corner this year as he was a nightmare last year. He had been free and wasn't racing properly, but for some reason with a winter under his belt, he has come back a different horse and is racing properly. I think the faster the ground the better he is and even today, that ground is slower than he'd like. He is a fine big horse and you'd be thinking he can only improve further. Darren Dwyer bought him and fair play to him, as I'm lucky to have such a lovely horse. I entered him for a 1m1f €100,000 three-year-old handicap at the Curragh on Derby Day and he'll go there next. After Monvoe (IRE) finished 1st at Limerick on Wed, 10th Jun 2026 1m Flat Hcap Good to Yielding

Quotes on Liberation Date (GB)
Great to get the first one. The horses have been running really well and we have had plenty of horses placed. This lady had good form coming here today and we were expecting a big run from her. She probably does (need every yard of that), but she will come on plenty now from that experience. She's a big lady and she's learning every day. She's going to improve again. We always thought plenty of her. She's coming now and she is learning off every run. Possibly she will be put away now and we'll wait for the turf to come back or we could come back up again here say in February or March. When she gets a break, she will strengthen up plenty for the break. When she steps up in trip, she will improve. Hopefully, she can bring us to some good places if she is not sold. As with all our horses, they are all for sale. Loved my time riding, and I suppose this was the next step and enjoying every minute of it. It is a completely different avenue to riding them. I have big support from Donnchadh (Doyle), so I have to thank him an awful lot. He has provided me with a yard, and he has filled it as well, so very lucky. I helped out with a few breezers last year and I got a good bug from that then. When Donnchadh and I spoke, that was the next step. There were plenty to train. I have a couple of two-year-olds that haven't run. They will run next year as three-year-olds. I have a couple that might run up here next week. Donnchadh has been very busy buying yearlings at the sales, so we are goinAfter Liberation Date (GB) finished 1st at Dundalk on Fri, 12th Dec 2025 7f Flat Maiden Standard
