The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Brains, trained by R.Donohoe, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident turning into the home straight involving My Vonnie, ridden by Neve Bennett, Pascalia, ridden by M.W Hassett, and Amavasya, ridden by J. Cleary, where it appeared J. Cleary had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J. Cleary stated that he felt pressure from his inside which forced him to sit for a few strides. Neve Bennet stated that she slightly hung right off the home bend. M.W
Hassett stated that he maintained his racing line. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Neve Bennet was in breach of Rule 214 and having considered her clean record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended her for two racedays
